Melissa is a qualified physiotherapist fully registered with the Allied Health Practitioner’s Council. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Melbourne (BPhys), and her doctoral degree (DPT) from Nova Southeastern University in the US. She last worked at a large tertiary hospital as a senior physiotherapist. Melissa has various clinical interests, especially in the areas of respiratory physiotherapy, chronic disease management, and clinical teaching. Her specific training and clinical experience includes difficult asthma and dysfunctional breathing, pulmonary rehabilitation, airway clearance, and dyspnoea management.
Currently, Melissa stays at home to care for her children. She continues to do part-time professional teaching and to assist in the management of PHSG. When she’s not working, she spends her time exercising with her dog and exploring nature in Singapore.
